2012 less than a week away!

26 Dec

I just realized that 2012 is less than a week away! So here’s the good news…it’s a new year and it’s time for change. The bad news you will get a year older, God willing. Just kidding. There is no bad news but the good news is today you lived to see another day.
However, I am not one to get caught up in the New Year’s resolution trend but I will be starting the Daniel Fast on Jan 2. I do look forward to the encouragement (hint, hint) 😉 from my family who will join me during the 21 days of fasting. I look forward to it. It’ll be a bit of a challenge but if I didn’t realize the year was almost over then it’ll be a piece of cake right! Of course! I’ll keep you up to date on emotions, thoughts, etc during the fast. Until then ill talk to you soon.

    Sounds impressive!

Now look here, I got a year older only last month, and you’re saying I’m getting older AGAIN next week?

However, here is a consolation to older people. As you get older, your rate of ageing decreases. After all, at your first birthday your age doubles, but if you live to be very, very old, it’s only going up by about 1% a year.

Good Luck with your fast 2 of my friends did the Daniel fast not so long ago and it sees pretty tough, although I must admit I do not know much about fasting, need to look into it, if its something that will bring me closer to God then I must do it. Just gotta know more about it first lol

    • princessnadielala December 27, 2011 at 2:34 pm #

Absolutely you must find out more about it. I have no clue what it really is but I know it involves my God and I am excited to fast. Anything to bring you closer to God is worth doing!

That is such a good idea to sort of journalize your walk for the 21 day Daniel Fast. It isn’t an easy fast…especially when you’re sick during the week before it like I am it becomes even more harder task to ensue but it can be done, and I’m not backing down. I’m also participating so May God keep all of us during the Fast. Seeking His face is so important especially after what we have seen this past year. Stay blessed during yours Nadie, I look forward to reading your thoughts about it if you plan on blogging it here that is. 😀

    • princessnadielala December 27, 2011 at 2:31 pm #

Yes may God keep all those who are participating and maybe we can encourage others to do so. But you miss have to get better in the few days that you have left!!! I am very excited to start blogging about it! I wish it were 2012 already! LOL feel better

Thanks girl. I’m still gonna participate regardless of health 😀 This happened last year too but I still pressed through and got better during the fast.

Omg can I join in on this fast too?? Now I’ll have to empty my kitchen shelf before I start this. And hide my wallet…and drive a different route to school and church. But I am starting this so let’s kick the devil’s butt goodbye! Lol 😛

    • princessnadielala December 27, 2011 at 2:20 pm #

That is certainly going to be a challenge, but if you stay focus you’ll endure. My only tip is ‘forget self.’ The moment you start thinking about yourself things become more difficult.
