It’s a New, New Year!

30 Dec

What does that even mean…Happy New Year? Are you wishing me a happy new day instead of a new year? Technically this New Year will bring me the same stuff as last year. Happiness, health, wealth, heartbreak, anger, attitude, disappointment, grief and love amongst many other things. Are you wishing me a Happy New Year to avoid these things? There is no way you will never feel any of these things, at some point during the year you are guaranteed to feel one of the above. New year, new beginnings, goals, achievements, thoughts, oh isn’t this called a resolution? Yes a New Year’s Resolution! Yeah…no, I agree on the goal making part because you are always supposed to have goals. You are supposed to have goals set all the time. If changing your attitude is one of these goals, why is this a New Year’s Resolution? Why can it not be something you work on prior to the New Year knowing you should be doing this now? Isn’t a resolution and a goal the same? Why is it better to have a New Year’s Resolution and not a goal? Excuse me for being a New Year’s Bitch but what is all the hype about? There is nothing to be excited about…in my opinion. My goal is to make the best of everyday. Be thankful that I woke up today. Be grateful for all that I have. Continue to do what I can do to make myself happy and keep it moving. So, Happy New Day or Year! Which ever makes you happy!

Here is a recycled post from last year hope you love it! See you in the New Year! Be safe and be blessed everyone!

Lol I love the way you think girl. It’s true what your saying. resolutions should be goals that should change your current status quo but if we keep making the same ones each year….then haven’t we sort of set ourselves up to not change? There are those that make things happen, those that watch things happen and those wondering what in the world is happening…if we aren’t in the category of “making things happen”, then we cannot expect anything new even in the “New Year”. Happy New Year is a blessing but for me it’s more of a “Thank God I can live to see another year” type thing. Each day shouldn’t be taken for granted and neither should we take each year for granted since our time here on earth is but for a short fleeting moment, anything can happen within a blink of an eye and some haven’t even made it alive to see the new Year so it’s all about perspective. So Have Blessed NEW YEAR Nadie! 😀

I used to think there was something special about the New Year!! I soon learnt there is not! No sudden peace , no cure for cancer or aids, no stop to famine and drought, no stop to murders, rape or child abuse… nothing! No change to relationships, no sudden return of love when it had left no joy where there was sorrow NO JUST A BIG FAT NOTHING!! NOTHING CHANGES. it is a con a wheeze an excuse to waste money! Sorry call me cynical but! That said I still wish you all the very best ….just don’t expect it over night!! Big Hugs!! 😀 xxxxx

The Australians and Japanese can get in New Year resolutions several hours before America can retaliate. You must immediately bring forward your new year.
